Getting Brandkit found on ChatGPT
We have stopped the monthly directory-style backlink placements that have run since the engagement began. The honest reason: links of that grade no longer move rankings in your category. The competitor data on the strategy tab shows what does: between 61% and 95% of every competitor's rankings sit on editorial content, and the one competitor growing (MediaValet) wins with comparison pages, a definitional dictionary and vertical solution pages, not with volume link building. CrowdRiff holds 3,500 referring domains and a DR of 74 and still earns almost nothing from search, because the content layer is missing; in this category the constraint is content to rank, not raw link volume.
The hours that went into link placements redirect into the work below, inside the same engagement. Authority building continues where it is actually earned: editorial pages worth citing, the client-portal play, and targeted placements when there is a genuine story.
On-page passes against the 462 queries already at positions 4 to 20: the brand management system and brand asset management system variants (28,000 combined impressions a year), brand hub, the AI DAM cluster, marketing portal and media library software. This is the cheapest growth available and it starts in September.
A /brand-intelligence page, a "what is brand intelligence" explainer and glossary entries that connect the intelligence, knowledge library and AI DAM language to the product. Only Brandfolder ranks for these terms today. Your messaging leads; the ranking layer catches the territory as it grows.
Consolidate and properly optimise the place-brand vertical pages (destination marketing software sits at position 11.7 with 3,989 impressions), interlink them from the six place-brand case studies, and give the cluster 90 days of real effort. Then the niche decision gets made on data, before any site rebuild locks in.
Your clients' brand searches already deliver 3,540 clicks a year into Brandkit-hosted portals. With two or three consenting clients whose portals are public by design, we make those pages properly indexable and rich, the way Brandfolder has industrialised it. Every public portal becomes a ranking asset and a product demonstration at once.
Real GA4 key events (demo booked, contact) so demos become attributable by channel and the Zapier double-count stops being the only number. A configuration fix inside your existing analytics, and the first thing we do, because everything else gets judged by it.
| Cycle | Work |
|---|---|
| September | Measurement fixed and verified. Keyword set updated. /brand-intelligence and first definitional pieces live. On-page pass one: the system-variant queries. |
| October | Striking-distance push (AI DAM, brand hub, marketing portal, media library software). Tourism vertical pages consolidated and optimised. First comparison page. |
| November | Glossary and editorial layer building. Portal pilot with consenting clients. Review everything against the numbers: striking-distance movement, tourism cluster movement, demos by channel. |
Every move above except measurement needs pages written, and the strategy sizes that at roughly 70 to 90 pieces over the next six to twelve months: definitional pages, glossary entries, comparison pages and vertical rewrites. Today all content is written by you, and the engagement includes none, which has been the right shape until now and is also the reason the big categories sit on page two while better-resourced competitors publish weekly.
There are two ways to close that gap, and they work together. You keep writing where your voice matters most, to page-by-page specs we produce (the same keyword and structure review Milda used to run, which we are bringing back in-house). And for the volume layer, we now run our own content platform, Notable: it researches, briefs and drafts in a brand-calibrated voice, you review and publish through your own CMS, and it is how we produce editorial at this scale for our clients without agency-sized content fees. If that is interesting, we will walk through how it works and the numbers together on a call; nothing here depends on deciding today.
Questions on any of this: reply to the email this came with, or grab a time with Ben. The strategy tab holds the evidence behind every line above.
